The lovely and talented Ms. Cocoa Mae teaches. You might want to check her website out. Also, I would suggest trying to find some old school burlesque videos or watching Gypsy with either Natalie Wood & Rosiland Russell or Cynthia Gibb and Bette Midler. Also lots of Marilyn Monroe Movies, musicals from the 40's & 50's are always a good source of moves & costume ideas. I watched a movie with Gypsy Rose Lee in it (the g-string murders) and it was basically shot at a theatre and involved a bunch of burlesque dancers, etc. Try to get that one if you can because they have snippets of some of the routines.
That's about all I've got but I may think of som other stuff later on in the day.

Fantastic advice! Thanks. I always go to burlesque and caberet shows whenever I can, I went to Moulin Rouge a few weeks back.it was worth every penny!

I'm hoping to go to some soon - can't wait to dress up and join in the mischief!

I went to the tassel-twirling workshop Gwendoline took last month at Cocoa Mae's. Gwendoline is a great teacher so would highly recommend attending on Sunday.

Cocoa Mae's fan dancing workshop and tassel twirling are both workshops which are fantastic and defiantly worth going!
