Help!!
I really want to get involved in burlesque but don't know where to start, i've always felt i'd be right at home, i love the fashion and dance but i live in a tiny village in northumberland and not had the oppertunity to get involved . Does anyone from the Newcastle wanna take me under the wing and help me get involved ... I could be your pet project
Lots of Love

Hey, Im not from Newcastle but thought I would reply anyway. What I would do if I were you is work on a routine and get it really good. Then contact all the Newcastle nights and performers and ask who does a begginer spot or an open stage. And talk lots on the forums here. You will get some great help.
Sorry I cant be more useful

id echo what vanitie has said, develop a few ideas and work with them in your own time...research asmuch as you can...get advice from on here there isno question unanswerable on here i have found!!!!!...pickup the Mob dvd for starters...watch as many performances as poss, whether on here or youtube etc but preferrably get to as many burly nights as you can....develop who your persona will be onstage...these are just a few pointers i picked up when i started looking around this place and i have luckily found a super class to attend...things will come together as they are meant to hun...keep at it!!! xxxx

Hi there papillion
Gypsy and I teach regular classes at Dance City, Newcastle: we have an Improvers class this Sunday, and a Beginners class next Sunday 7 March. We also run Fan Dance and Performance classes there - all info on Dance City is the National Dance Agency For The North Of England
