Thread: Help!!

Hello Papillion!
I'm really excited for you, taking your first steps into this really inspiring, creative and franky great scene!
I was just going to suggest that if you can't get to a class there are some great DVDs (including the rather excellent MOB Burlesque for beginners DVD) which will help you get to grips with some of the moves and feel inspired, also a few beginners Belly Dance DVDs (or classes ) will be very useful in getting shimmy (and bump and grind) techniques...

Costume-wise, if you can't afford much, there are always people selling stuff on ebay (just type Burlesque into the ebay search and you'll see a whole manner of things pop up!!)

Also have a look at other people's acts on YouTube - there are some truely inspiring performers out there!
