Thread: How to not look like a stripper?

That's a great act, I loved it, thank you so much for posting. I've been watching a lot and I think I'll be fine actually, I guess when I was doing some of my old moves I felt like "stripper" but maybe I was more burlesque than "stripper" in my moves back then anyway.

I have a lot more confidence in what I'm doing now, so thanks!

Hey there. Former stripper here too. Although im planning to go back haha.
Anyway, from my experiance...I think its great to have a bit of both. Your song choice will guide you. I have my sulty seductive classic styles and my neo sexy rocker girl stripper styles as well for burlesque and it serves me well.

Remember to pay attention to your song cues though. Going through my song for an act while rehearsing when and how im going to strip off a glove a strap....ect was the only thing that I really had to work on. In the club we just have to remember to have out top off before the end of our rotation lol.

After doing more research, I'm more comfortable with what i'm doing and realise that I was probably pretty close to burlesque as a stripper anyway! I always took far longer than the other girls to get my kit off and was never gratuitous. I certainly never dressed in neon!
