I wouldn't be suprised - many people are leery of teaching fire breathing. Here's some info that you should probably look through before deciding if you really want to give it a try:
Home of Poi lessons - Fire Breathing> Introduction> Fire Breathing
I certainly don't want to rain on anyones parade but this is one area where you really want to go in with your eyes open!“No doubt, a scientist isn't necessarily penalized for being a complex, versatile, eccentric individual with lots of extra-scientific interests. But it certainly doesn't help him a bit.”

I agree with the good dr! Home of Poi is a wonderful resource if you've had some background training but DON'T TRY FIREBREATHING FOR THE FIRST TIME ON YOUR OWN. One wrong breath and at best you've got no eyebrows; at worst you've got no lungs. Make sure your teacher is properly trained and insured. It's an amazingly fun thing to do but it can be very dangerous and even people that have been doing it far far beyond me are careful and never forget the risks.
Safety first, fire after
Best of luck!xx

The lady is right. Damn silly thing to do. Brain scan first (to see if one is there), safety next, then fire. Unfortunately, I failed on the first item so I NEED to make sure that everything else is covered. Follow everyones good advice and learn as much as possible and then decide if you want to proceed.
All the best,

Correctamundo friends. Thanks for the recomendation Kittie .
I don't fire breathe it's so dangerous , not that any fire skill isn't . It's just that after you exhale the parrafin, you inhale air taking the toxic fumes straight back into your lungs then there is the fuel residue left in your mouth that ends up in your tummy yuck . these are dangerouse for your long term health ( fertility ? )
if you really have to do it try these proffesionals and see if any of them can help you . do not attempt this alone . Good Luck x x

...Just to add to everyone's comments about fire, if you are going to perform the act, some venues require a seperate insurance certificate which insures the performer and the venue in case of accidents...
Good luck!
