Thread: Burlesque workshops Leeds

Learn the art of burlesque with Leeds Burlesque !
Classes are weekly and taught by Bella Besame of the famous Slippery Belle events.

In addition to those who have some performing experience or have done the classes already, there will be a series of burlesque performance and skills enhancing classes . Ranging from simple circus skills to add to an act, a bump and grind/fan dance technique, pin up posing, techniques on how to make your own simple props, how to pimp up a costume or turn a bra and pants into a shimmy tastic costume! For more seasoned/professional performers-business skills on contracts, keeping records for taxes and NI and so on. There will also be guest speakers where you will have the opportunity to pick the brains and hear the stories and tricks and tips from some of the finest in the industry.

Thanks for that - I'm deffinitely interested. Are the workshops one off? Or are they weekly lessons? Also, I don't suppose you know anything about Harrogate Burlesque ?

They are spread over a few weeks.
I run a burlesque night at the West Park Hotel in Harrogate every three months, next one is the first Friday in March. I have a facebook group called "D.D.Tease burlesque in Harrogate" x

I'd love to learn with Bella but at the mo I'm too poor to commit to a course of lessons. Does/will she do any of the above as one-off workshops in Leeds if maybe enough people were interested?
