I am having exactly the same problem right now! Haha! Maybe we can work through it together?
What I've done is made a list of each idea, what it needs ie props wise, costume wise, music etc. The I've been trying to focus in on what I want the first impressions of my 'onstage persona' to be - after all, first impressions are the most important!
So now I'm currently trying to narrow down on which acts express Peaches the most concisely and yet also show me at my best. This isn't easy! BUT it does mean that I've started slipping some acts down the list, as I've realised that to do them, my character needs to be more established first or because they are too prop heavy, or whatever.
I hope that gives you a little direction? What I'm hoping someone with more experience can advise on is making the descision between going with something fairly simple to begin with - ie not being overly ambitious - OR doing something that gets you out there with a bang and makes your intentions obvious. Is there a right or wrong answer?
Let me know how you get on - if you want to discuss ideas feel free to message me - I promise not to steal, as I could do with some feedback too!
