Aww thanks Briar!
What a fantastic night it was - so much fun. It was one of the most fun shows I've been to yet. The audience were absolutely superb, giving masses of feedback and truly getting into the spirit of things. The excitement on your little faces as I popped out from behind Big Bob each time was wonderful to experience and I'm going to try and hang on with dear life to the final round of applause I got at the end of each routine....it might be all that keeps me going till I make it big across the pond hoho.
But the acts were blooming brilliant - it was so nice to meet Ginger La Rouge at last. What a beauty! What a behind! And what absolute lovely! I'm so sad I missed your first Magician routine (changing out of my dalek head) but I loved your Walk Like A Panther - you prowl with the best of the them.
Candee Handful - what a star! You are glamour personified and it's wonderful to see how Rouge Rum develops and improves every single time I see it....just when I think the routine and costume can get no better, you up the ante again. I love that because you've put so much work into your backing film that everytime I see it I spot something new, it's never quite the same for me and keeps me glued. Plus I wish I had but an ounce of your class , you're a real ladeee.
Delilah Dufoe - I always love your Dude....you ooze sex appeal and confidence and give the audience what they scream for....but I love the beauty spell routine too - you have superb timing and use your music so well.
Roxy it was lovely to meet you. I love your customised overalls - very cool and wasn't it wonderful that the audience saved you when the music ran out - it was like something out a very wierd but lovely film about the blitz.
And Crimson Skye, wow! The first proper burlesque show I ever went to was the Cherry Pop Show that you performed at. The moment you stepped on stage to Run Rabbit in your sunglasses and white fur coat, oozing confindence and letting the simplest of eyebrow raises shout "look at me now people!" I knew that one day I wanted to be a performer. When I got the priviledge to maid for you last December I was totally star struck. AND NOW, I've performed at a show with you.....I am totally blown away. Your Crazy and Balloon Pop Nurse are both absolute perfection (terrible grammar), the way you work the audience, your absolute control and owning of the stage..........genius. When I grow up I want to be just like you (I held off from "I'm your biggest fan" in case you set Ed on me......though we now all know what's going to happen to Tiptop Steve should he ever go missing....)
And El Kapitan and his mate Vlad - that's the best I've ever seen the pair of you.....even if Vlad is turning more and more into Alexander the Meerkat every time. Perhaps we should Compare the Compere dot com?
I will shut up now, I do prattle on.
Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much Fey Tish for letting me join the bill - it was fantastico!
