Default Degree Show exhibition in Birmingham :)

as some of you may know I have been busy completing my fine art degree and have used Burlesque as the inspiration and subject for my final installation at the degree show...and with the help of Tempest Devyne, Mama Jenufa, Delilah Dufoe , Trixie rose and Harlequin I now have a finished piece on show and it is now open to the public!

the show is at Birmingham school of Art, which is located on Maragret street in Birmingham city centre. It opened today and is open tomorrow (sunday 14th june), then again thursday, friday, sat and sun of next week, 10am - 4pm each day, with the private view taking place 6-9pm on weds 17th june.

if youre local then please go and have a look at the show

    Excellent news!

I've just got back from town, but I'll try and stick my head in either tomorrow or next week.

Took you a while to work out who was enthusing to you about the standard of your work though! Stick my number back in your phone woman

Seriously if anyone's in Birmingham and wants to see some art from future stars - pop into the BIAD Summer Exhibition on Margaret Street. I spent some time looking around all the exhibits on all 4 floors and it took me about an hour, but if you want to find Vix's work - it's down in the basement in B.21 - you'll spot it in the left hand corner when you walk into the room, she's got her own little burlesque boudoir installed. I love the photos on the walls - took me a little while to work out which one was me, but she's also got two films on show on a loop - a very arty black and white film of Harlequin and Trixie Rose , and colour versions of me, Mama Jenufa and Delilah Dufoe on too...............it was very strange standing there watching myself with other visitors

And check out another MoBster - known on here as Kylieboo, but again down in the basement, room B.13 - though be warned it's not for the faint hearted. If you remember last year the Rev Dr Peter Mullen saying that gays should have tattooed sodomy can damage your health....Kyle's work is partly a response to that, and if I didn't have kids in the house I'd love to buy the photo he sent to the Rev which you can find on pg 69 of the art degree show catalogue/programme (just £1)

I'm biased but I thought the amount of thought, effort and creativity of Kittie Jay (Vix) and Kylieboo (Kyle) blew a lot of the other exhibits away.....although there's some blooking excellent work on the other floors too.

awwwww thank you tempest....when you text me i was riding my horse and walking along thinking "hmmmm this MUST be tempest" lol, hence me taking a while to reply, had to get the beast back to the yard and then reply

theres some good work there, but also some pretty awful work too haha. kyles is great, just a shame he was made to censor it so much with the signs and closed door etc....bless.

Thank you Tempest. It means a lot, ive been rather down about my show. If you wanted a copy of the Rev there were tiny B/w ones on the shelf :P

but the version in the catalogue is just as good

Loving the russian doll piccy btw
