Default Is anyone performing at Heresy 'n' Heelz?

The Burlesque Magazine is off on tour (well, one night anyway). Dani and myself are off to the event below and were wondering if anyone knows who's performing as we've only received a press release detailling the 'alternative' side of the acts? It's be lovely to meet up with anyone as we're on an official press pass (and I'm the photographer for the night!) so I'll be taking photos and Dani the Editor will be interviewing people on the night.

    Thanks!

I'm performing at the July one and hope to be attending in May. Slinky Sparkles is on the bill for May!

To clarify for you, their isn't a "fetish side" to the line-up, the event is broadly aimed to appeal to those in both the fetish & goth/ebm scenes as well as fans of burlesque in general & others in alternative cultures like rockabilly/body mod/tattoo etc, and is exactly as your press release details. An "official press pass" is an ID badge that allows you to use a camera in the venue and inform guests which media you are from.

The performer line-up is as follows :-

Standing in for resident Rosie Lugosi, our compère & hostess for the evening will be Jazz Singer Liberty Pink, a vocalist with a difference ! She performs jazz classics, Berlin cabaret and the very cream of show tunes with flair and her own saucy style – she is the definitive 21st century showgirl, but with a dark side !

Headline performer will be International Burlesque Sensation, Circus Acrobat & Model Natsumi Scarlett– from Haarlem in the Netherlands, an accomplished artiste who has performed across Europe, specialising in Dramatic & Twisted Burlesque, Aerial Acrobatics & Ribbons. She has Torture Garden, the London Burlesque Festival 2009 & Paris Tease amongst her recent appearances and is headline resident at Burlesque Freakout, Amsterdam. Natsumi is a performer of truly outstanding capabilities.

Second headline Miss Slinky Sparkles is a versatile & elegant performance artiste & pin-up model. Appearing throughout the UK & International burlesque scene, Miss Sparkles regularly seduces audiences in London & beyond & her diary reads like a who's who of Europes premier Burlesque Clubs. Notorious for her seductive tease, strut & grind, Miss Sparkles purveys a quirky mix of character-based burlesque, in a unique, satirical & cheesecake style. Slinky Sparkles is also “What Katie Did's” in-house burlesque artiste, model & corset-fitter extraordinaire.

Mademoiselle Lili la Scala is the stuff legends are made of. Let this little lady draw you in to her entrancing world. Originally from London but currently touring Australia & New Zealand, this diminutive burlesque performer & opera singer has been delighting audiences worldwide with her unique and quirky style. A devotee of the vintage glamour-puss image, Mademoiselle Lili is the epitome of pin-up girl chic with her doll-like figure and her long raven locks. Let her beguile and seduce you

Back by popular demand from our launch event Miss Pink & Fluffy is a neo-burlesque performance artiste specialising in adding a modern & at times comic twist to Traditional Burlesque. Her style has become synonymous with theatrical expression, vintage style, with a little vaudeville comedy backed up by elaborate props & intricate themes. Her wardrobe is a combination of ultra-feminine vintage glamour with, beautiful corsetry & sky high heels. Her routines encapsulate all the elements of traditional burlesque whilst sometimes pushing the boundaries of neo-burlesque with fetish & risqué themes.

    This is in addition to
    • Big name DJ's playing the best in EBM/Rock/Industrial & Trance
    • Market area featuring fetish/goth & burlesque clothing & accessories
    • Second chill-out room also featuring DJ line-up
    • £400 prizes to be won in our best dressed competition
    • Pin-up Model Poppy Scarlet with free sweeties & treeties for all
    • Superstar pyro-fire performer Crimson Black (outside venue 9-10)
    • Media representation & photographers from Burlesque, Devolution & Skin Two Magazine's

Advance tickets are £8 and available from Rockhouse Box Office & door admission will be £10

More detailed info at Heresy n Heelz & Heresy n Heelz Myspace!

Hope that clears up any confusion !

    Default Additional info !

Additional to that we would just like to inform all MoB members, that Heresy n Heelz is not a fetish or bdsm party. It is a burlesque entertainment event designed to particularly appeal to those in "alternative culture" scenes. There is no dungeon or dungeon equipment, there will be no full nudity or any kind of s&m/bondage or sexual activity.

We have a strict dress code for the event and this is as follows :-

    Fetish - Latex/PVC/Leather
    Goth - Trad/Cyber
    Vintage - Burlesque /Glam/30's/40's/50's
    Formal - Black Tie/Evening/Cocktail
    Fancy Dress - Uniform/Fantasy

A minimum for gents would be smart casual, maybe a suit & tie. We will not admit anyone who is wearing what we consider to be very "casual" or "street" clothing which will include blue denim jeans, sportswear and the like. £400 worth of prizes including a first prize worth £200 we find encourages this ! If you would like to come and are not sure if what you are planning on wearing will be acceptable or not please drop us a memo. You will find our dress code serves to provide a fantastic environment for such an event, with the dressing up being a big part of the fun for everyone

Thank you for clarifying this, I only meant from my post that I'd received details naming the 'alternative' acts and nothing on the burlesque side of things (which is the main reason we're coming) as I'm her photographer for the evening.

Thanks for clearing up details of the burlesque performers, this will help greatly sorting paperwork out beforehand.

Hotel's booked, transport arranged and costumes on the sort. I'm really really looking forward to this, the Bizarre Ball last year was such fun and this looks even better.

    Hey Kittenfox
There'll be opportunities for you to take some great photos. Everyone looked amazing at the launch night - performers, staff & attendees! I'm sure this event will be even better. It's worth going just to see Miss Pink & Fluffy's shoes!

I'll have a stall there, so come & say hi.

I have sent an up to date press release to Dani with all the performers, DJ's & traders details on. If you need any more info don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for your enthusiasm for the event, we can't promise that its going to be better than the Bizarre Ball, but co-incidentally our third event on July 24th is Heresy n Heelz presents special guests Torture Garden......

......this event will showcase not only the 2 amazing DJ's of the worlds largest Fetish, Body Mod & Sub-Cluture Club, Allen TG & David TG, but also the International Vaudeville Freakshow & Burlesque Diva Vivid Angel who headlined last years Bizarre Ball ! The Vivid Angel will be joined by a apectacular line-up of performers who will be announced just prior to the May 22nd event.

Heresy n Heelz plan to showcase some of the world's most amazing cutting-edge performers right in the heart of the Midlands, and present superstar DJ's alongside our existing line-ups of residents which include Nightmare's Gadge Europa.

Thank you for the kind comments re my collection of shoes, I think this is an ideal opportunity to buy some new ones for the 22nd May as I would hate to dissappoint!!

Looking forward to the event and I am sure it will be even more spectacular than the launch party, with such an amazing performance line up AND Liberty Pink..

I can only re-iterate what MyDelilah wrote. The first event was fantastic and the next one is working it's way to be even better!!

I'll be there with my stall - Strictly Sensuous - with some of our ranges of Sally Rand Ostrich fans, peacock fans, Mini Top Hats and our sensuous cloaks.

Unfortunately I can't help MissPinkFluffy with a new pair of shoes but I'll try to tempt her with a new hat!!

I hear tickets are going well so it's a good idea if people want to go (and if you don't go I think you'll wish you had after you read the reviews) to get your tickets in advance. It's amazing how quickly a 500 capacity venue can be filled.

    See you there
