Thread: June 14th Silhouette Burlesque at the Appleby Burton on Trent

Hey guys and dolls

You are cordially invited to join myself and the rest of the Silhouette Burlesque rabble for Cherryfox's Birthday Party event on Sunday June 14th at the Appleby Burton on Trent (Green Street, DE14 3RT). Its just £4 for members and £6 for new members/ guests. The lowest entry fee of any burlesque event in the midlands! However as usual our low entry fee does not represent the quality of entertainment we are providing!

We have performances from (in alphabetical order!)....

Cherryfox, although it is my birthday party so I might call getting drunk performance art!

Delilah Dufoe , our DD-elightful resident with her new 'White Wedding' routine.

Fleur Du Mal , silhouette burlesque favorite returns.

Pixie Parasol, adding some sparkle and tap-dancing to the night!

Tempest Devyne, in her long awaited stage debut with her infamous Dalek & Russian Doll Acts.

Master of Ceremonies - El Kapitan, who will no doubt be busting out a few tunes as is his want!

Usherette - Miss Pippi Strella, our gorgeous, mute, pet goth

As its my birthday party and I'm an utter child I can feel some party games coming on, although they almost caused a war last year! And no doubt the silhouette burlesque rabble will have some unpleasant surprises in store for me. (I knew I was going to regret torturing all of them on their birthdays!)

The appleby also boasts delicious and inexpensive food, real ale and a large selection of speciality beers and wines. There's plenty of comfy seating and free parking right next to the venue so you can wear the highest heels you want!

This is an event not to be missed, ask anyone, I throw a mean party! (or should that be messy!) See you there!

I've been fortunate enough to photography DD's new costume... its fab blinkin tastic

I personally cant wait to see the Russian Dolls..... I wonder if Vlad will hear about this and get all excited!!!

Sounds great. If I'm not totally :censored: after our show the night before then I shall see if my budget permits my attendance.

Oh I've been waiting to see Delilah 's wedding routine ever since she asked us all her last year to source cheap wedding dresses for her and then seeing Tiptop's photos as a sneak preview. Can't wait to see it..............

Hang on, OMG, it's not actually to Billy Idol's White Wedding is it? The penny's just dropped! I nearly had that played on the organ at my wedding (it would have so annoyed the parents, but I was dissuaded from it). if it is that's even better!

Yaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!

Looking forward to it and seeing everybody. I think I have a carfull of burly-gurlies to bring along too so it looks like it will be a fun evening. Just a shame I have to be up for work the next morning!!!

Can't wait to finally meet you Pixie! It seems like we've known each other forever online but never actually met in person.

And the parking at the Appleby is probably the best/most convenient I've ever experienced at a burlesque event - a massive public car park, which is free on Sunday night, right slap bang outside the front door of the pub. I think I walked all of 6 steps from my car to the front door last time which is fantastic if you ever put off going to some burly events for fear of having to walk through a big city late at night back to your car!

Me too Tempest. I sometimes think I know my online friends better than my real friends!!!

Yes Tempest it is indeed to 'white wedding' and I cant wait to see DD tackle that in her own inimitable way! Although due to a long chain of coincidences I happen to have her bra for that routine sat in my workroom right now, and its making me a little self councious!

What routine would everyone like me to do? I'm considering cracking out the wrapping paper again, simplest concept ever and yet incredibly effective routine i thought.

Oooh yes break out the wrapping paper and the Altered Images! (I love Claire Crogan surprise surprise) I loved you doing that, so ditzy and I love the little tear-by-tear tease!

haha this time the ditzy-ness may way be real and alcohol enduced, I might actually need you guys to pull the paper off this time hahaa!
