Thread: The Birdcage.

I have put this up on here as it is not Burlesque so I thought it should be kept from the Burlesque forums.
Louise and I have been having a think and have come to the idea that people on here should also know about other venues in an area that not only just do Burlesque .

Like, The BIRDCAGE. The Birdcage is situated at 103 Commercial Road in Bournemouth. It is a lovely intimate place. Bar staff are friendly, bubbly, sexy, vivacious, and this is just JON! There are the odd Burlesque nights that do go on and those I will keep you all updated with that info.

Last night was another heat in the RUBYZ Karaoki competition held at the Birdcage.

There were some rather good singers there as well. Especially a young lady who refused to be photographed!! Her name is Jackie and what a voice she has!

Bosses at the MoB, if you are up for it I would like to try and do this as an ongoing thing betwixt the main Rubyz Cabarett Club and the BirdCage and MIss Annies Burlesque troupe as well?.

Sorry James. Tired and sore when I typed it out.

I think I was asking permission to keep up an ongoing news letter type thing about Rubyz and the BirdCage and to keep it here coz...coz....coz??????. Tonight we have the illustrious MISS SALI VATE, strutting her stuff in a tribute to Miss TINA TURNER. The doors open at seven the show starts at eight and close at 02:00!

I will be the one with the camera round me neck!

And who is the MUPPET who was reading the WRONG web site link yesterday? Moi? Yep, twas me!! The doors opened at 8 and the show started at TEN!! So, I sat in an empty pub for about 2 and a half hours doing the small talk bit with the two lovely ladies that serve in there...........Oh well

Anyway, Miss Sally Vate was on top form as usual. We had a large crowd in, hunky young men, staid older bods (like me!), a few nubile "maids" and some VERY pretty boys...........And all Michelle wanted to do was come out for a look and a play....Poor thing.

Anyway, I have put up a few of the pics taken during the evenings entertainment. Enjoy them.

I'm afraid not, I wil be at Rubyz performing in Dragamia next Saturday (28th) and "If You've Got It, Flaunt It" Burlesque revue at Rubyz on Sunday (29th).

Alas, as some of you know, my mum fell over and hurt herself rather badly so, I could not film Miss Annies at Rubyz on the 29th March. Still, there are other delightful shows on at Rubyz like the one THIS Saturday and it is called "KITTIES BUNNY MANSION!" so, get on the phone and find out ALL about it!

I believe the NEXT Burlesque show is on at RUBYZ on the 26th of April. More info to follow.

Also, Miss Kitty is needing hunky young guys to help out on Saturday with the meeting and greeting etc. Payment is there as well. Give Kitty a ring and find out what she needs.

Yeah, I had to drop a quick PM to annie at like 11am then drive like stink up to Hook in Hampshire to see her. I wasn't told till about 10 minutes before PMing Annie!! My sister was in Scotland so it was a nieghbour who "wondered if she should worry me" by phoning me to tell me............Sigh.

Rubyz is now hiring out the Bird Cage for hen parties, birthdays etc and so forth. The BirdCage is an ideal venue for private hire whether it be for Birthday parties, Hen parties or even for a Friends Reunited party....
With two floors and two bars, The BirdCage is big enough to accomodate up to 100 guests.
Decorated with a Burlesque style theme, the bar is cosy, warm and intimate. Upstairs there is a dance floor to SHAKE YOUR TAILFEATHER on whilst there is a "chill out" area downstairs where you are free to lounge with your friends... all with table service!
Food is also available... we have an extensive selection of delicious buffet options which can be tailored to your requirements!!!
