Swindon
Good evening everyone. Just a quick question really. I'm contemplating a move to Swindon in the summer and was wondering what the burlesque scene was like there. Any and all comments gratefully received! Thanks xx

Don't know specifically about Swindon, but both Bristol and Bath have a fairly active scene, and they aren't too far on the train from Swindon for a good night out

Thanks, Tiger Tiger. I'll have to see how the pennies go when I get to Swindon!

LOL! Wish I could, but the move to Swindon is to be able to help my daughter go to college there! What we do for our kids!

I'm from Trowbridge which is somewhere between Swindon & Bath. I don't know a great deal about the burlesque scene in Swindon but there is definitely an appreciation for good entertainment & there is definitely a retro/vintage scene there. As has already been mentioned, Bath & Bristol have superb burlesque scenes with regular shows & Frome (just down the road) is also becoming a big part of the local scene. Trowbridge itself is gradually getting there; we have classes running every week & there are two shows in the pipeline.
If you move locally, I'm sure we'll meet at a show

Hey Sookie,
Thanks for the info. Unfortunatley I am without a car, so getting to and from places other than in Swindon are a bit of a hassle
Blue xx
