Default Burlesque photo shoots in Leeds

Hi there burlesque community in Leeds!

I have recently opened a dress agency and styling lounge in Leeds city centre and the styling lounge is proving popular with burleque ladies who find it the perfect backdrop for photoshoots. If you're building up your portfolio and need a suitable location I'm hiring the lounge out for £10 per hour or £50 for the day. There is access to sumptuous changing rooms, toilet and kitchen area.

You will see photos of the style lounge on my website, Style Lounge - Coco Rooms it is rarely used at the moment as I build up the business in the dress agency downstairs so if you fancy hiring it please feel free to contact me.

Many thanks
Gaynor

If you or anyone you know would like to have a look at the style lounge, I'm there from 10 till 6, Tuesday to Saturday, so just pop in.

Is this an offer for renting out the location to photographers, also, or do you provide your own?

Yes, the offer is open to photographers. It is simply the upper floor of my shop which is rarely used at the moment.

Great! The shop is directly behind the Corn Exchange (next door to Pizza Express). Feel free to pop into the shop, I'm here Tuesday to Saturday from 10am till 6pm.

Hi Gaynor

I'm an aspiring photographer from Leeds, wanting to graduate from photographing the family pets (the dogs are getting wise to me now and run when the camera comes out) onto some human subjects, who are a bit more patient and also looking to build up their portfolio. Luckily came across this site by searching for camera clubs in Leeds and found the Crotchet Club - never really thought of burlesque to be honest, but (as a male) it obviously has an attraction :-) and the rates are very reasonable to say the least

I would obviously need subjects, what's the likelihood of some patient souls turning up to be photographed while I curse and swear at my camera and strobe. Is there a big community in Leeds and is there a demand for a reciprocal TFP type of arrangement do you think?

Thanks for the reply MissPussyCat - I've had a PM from someone else showing an interest, seems a friendly place.

Just goes to show, some times what you’re looking for turns up when you aren't really looking for it - I'm glad I took the time to join and post

I'm going to pop down to the shop on Saturday to check things out, hopefully try and arrange that with Gaynor first, my better half has decided she wants to help me, although I think it's the clothes she's really interested in!

I'm not sure what to do at the moment. I'll see if there's any more interest on the thread after Saturday and either book a day based on that or maybe "book and be damned" for the whole day anyway and see what happens. Either way I would still like to sort something with yourself and your daughters and the other person on PM hopefully

By the way, I hope I'm not stepping on any professional togs toes here, as I say I just want to get some practice and build my portfolio and hopefully reciprocate in the same way with something worthwhile. Please let me know if I'm crossing any boundaries
