From January 2010 Heresy n Heelz will be moving to The Aslylumwww.theasylumvenue.co.uk @ Hampton Street, Birmingham, B19 (off Constitution Hill) – but not only a new city & venue, but also to a Saturday night which will be great for all those people that travel from all over the UK to come to our events.
The Asylum is a 2 room 450 capacity live music venue and is the perfect home for Heresy n Heelz boasting excellent sound/light/production facilities and a much higher stage which will resolve the visibility issues we had at The Rockhouse – it also has a large private covered smoking/chill-out terrace which will be heated in the winter & even “Doctors & Nurses” themed bar staff !
For those that drive there is lots of free on-street parking, & for those relying on public transport, The Asylum is only 5 mins walk from train/tram/bus stations and 10 mins from City Centre.
The first Birmingham event will be on 23rd January, compered by Rosie Lugosi and stars 60's themed Burlesque Superstar Agent Lynch + International fetish Model & Twisted Cabaret performer Marnie Scarlet......other confirmed performers include the return of Torture Garden at our March 1st Birthday Event with special guest compere Mat Fraser + Heresy debut's for Diva Hollywood & Beatrix von Bourbon in May
We have new some DJ's with 40's/50's/Jive & Rockabilly being the genre of choice pre 12pm with new DJ residents Mikey Wong & Pagan Flame, and the usual Heresy n Heelz mix of Industrial/Techno & Trance post 12pm till much later, lots of new traders and fantastic Fire/UV/Poi Circus Sideshows from Anatjie & Spankalicious
