WHITE MISCHIEF: "The Great Exhibition" Third Birthday Extravaganza
03-27-2010 to 03-28-2010 09:00 PM to 04:00 AM
Venue Name: Former Art Deco Cinema Scala
Venue Street Address: 275 Pentonville Road, King's Cross
Town Or City: London
Country: England
Post Or Zip Code: N19NL
Start Time / End Time: 9pm to 4am
Ticket Price: £20 advance, discounts for group
Dress Code: Dressing up is not compulsory but encouraged - theme Victoriana, steampunk, vintage

On Saturday 27 March White Mischief is hosting its biggest party yet, a multi-room extravaganza called The Great Exhibition.

Once again we are exploring the steampunk theme, with some of the UK's leading exponents of the neo-Victorian artform taking part. Expect a steamdrone and steam cannon from The Clockwork Quartet, steampunk art from Professor Maelstromme's Steam Laboratory, mechanical music with Thomas Truax and his Hornicator, a steam-powered piano from Tankus The Henge, and pith-helmeted steampunk MC Elemental (famous from his "Cup of Brown Joy" YouTube hit.)

But that's not all. We have assembled what we believe is our best line-up yet, including 27,000 volts of visible lightning conducted through a Tesla coil by Voltini; Bruce Airhead climbing inside his six foot balloon; Keda Breeze making spark fly with her angle grinder; the man Simon Cowell called "one of the most stupid acts I've ever seen", Captain Chainsaw, and steampunk burlesque from Meg La Mania and Bea Burlington.

The entertainment doesn't stop on stage as partygoers will encounter fun in the hallways and staircases, including music from the tremendous Oompah Brass - a massive hit at last year's Edinburgh Festival - plus Karla Chameleon's Flea Circus, vintage DJing and much more.

With a month to go, 20% of the tickets have sold already - and as regulars will know, many of our events sell out. So we strongly recommend you book now. Details and lineup here: http://www.whitemischief.info/featur...eat-exhibition

As this is our Third Birthday Weekend we have another party at Proud Cabaret on the Friday night and people who buy the special "Two Parties" tickets or the "VIP Room" tickets get access to both. Details here.

If you make or sell steampunk or Victoriana art and craft we want to hear from you - we don't charge people who want to sell such goods. Drop me a line on whitemischiefnight@gmail.com

Thanks

Missy Malone

Missy Malone is a heady cocktail of 1950’s bombshell and classic rock chick. An accomplished and sought-after performer on the UK burlesque scene who has performed internationally and has graced the cover of several publications and campaigns.

As an already established Actress and Model she also commands an impressive list of skills and talents ranging from traditional fan dance to striptease and is trained in both static trapeze and stilt walking. With her stunning trademark look and jaw dropping routines it is but a matter of time before this femme fatal make a lasting impression on the world stage!

Missy has shared the bill with some of burlesque's top names including Kitten De Ville, Dirty Martini, Kitten on the Keys, Mimi Le Meaux and Immodesty Blaize. Missy appears regularly in a variety of extravaganzas including The Candy Box in Birmingham, Torture Garden Events in London and in festivals such as the "Summer Jamboree" Italy and clubs in Milan, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Rome, Helsinki, Jersey and Paris.

Missy toured extensively with "The Damned" as part of their "Twisted Cabaret" tour 2007 and is a regular on the Edinburgh Fringe Festival Circuit every year. Missy also danced in a Bollywood feature film, which was filmed in Mumbai, India in Oct 2008.

Bouncy Hunter

After performing all around the world as a Singer and Dancer, Bouncy Hunter decided to settle in London for a while and see what it had to offer, and she discovered the glitzy world of Burlesque. After a successful run last year of the fabulous show "Saintly Sinners" at The Above The Stag Theatre, (Directed by Omar Okai, and produced by Leon Ancliffe), She has performed with a star of Burlesque, Miss Ivy Paige as one of her Paige Girls "Poppy", for the fabulous Lady Beau Peep, and with the Dazzling Miss Viscious Delicious, and not forgetting the amazing Pete Saunders.

Fay La Foe

A newcomer to the wonderful world of burlesque, and already causing quite a stir! With a string of performances under her belt she is steadily gaining momentum to become a well respected and sought after performer on the burlesque scene. Fay offers a truly unique performance, full of energy and originality. Her love of pin-up and all things burlesque, led her to start performing in early 2009. Fay oozes sex appeal and considers Betty Page, Gypsy-Rose Lee and Tempest Storm her role models in life!

Sensu’Elle

This statuesque showgirl’s scintillating performances stimulate the senses with a spellbinding yet satisfying cocktail of sumptuous sophistication, smouldering sensuality shaken (not stirred!) with suggestion of satirical sauce and just a splash of spice!

All hosted by the truly devilish
