Help my curls stay in!
I have really fine flyaway hair and would love to have my hair curly and for it to last a night out.
Can you recommend a setting lotion or any tips that would help keep it in. I've no problem with curling it, but it just uncurls after about an hour!
Pretty Please

Curl definition/heat protection spray and heated rollers, then leave them in for about five hours ... or a wet set with larger foam rollers left in overnight and most of the previous AND resulting days. They're the only ways I can get my super fine poker straight hair to hold a curl

setting lotion and try Tresemme's hairspray that comes in a white can...Freeze Hold I think. Sets you hair rock hard but keeps curls.

I use the Treseme Iron Style and Hold Spray
TRESemme vitamin enriched Iron Style and Hold Spray - Boots
I find it really good as you can completley brush it out and you have nice soft curls.

Thanks Ladies, I've used the tresemme products but still it uncurls, I can hear them laughing at me as they do
...I think its a quest for Dr Gok on one of his trial and tested excerpts on 'how to look good naked' show.

It might be a case of getting some layers cut into your hair. Mine used to be all one length and would only hold a surl at the very ends, but now it stays in no problem.

you tried freeze hold? i have louise brooks hair and cant afford for it to move and i am regularly commented on if my har is fake. when my hair was long i curled it, what to do it spray a little on the section you are going to curl, curl it then spray the hell ou of it. Fool proof and i swear it freezes time and space x
I wanna be bad...

I can never get curls to hold unless I wet set it pin curl and sleep with it in which I got lazy about so cut it into a bob. I love the gel by Fructis. Its says concrete hold and they mean it. Used it for finger waves and kiss curls against my cheeks and it drys to make your hair unmoveable

Just picked these last few replies up....mmmmm I'm wondering if I'm using enough spray  yes I've got the freeze hold and have sprayed it on each section before curling, after using the tresseme maximum hold mouse before curling then sprayed with the freeze hold hairspray afterwards.
My hair is growing out of the typical Louise brooks style bob, still not quite on my shoulders, but a bit longer than my jaw.
I've not tried the amami setting lotion, agapanthus, where would I buy this? I've looked in boots for setting lotions but been confronted with an array of products its very confusing when your not used to buying such products. do I apply it on wet/damp hair...ooo i feel a bit dumb :embarrassed: but I've always had sort of shortish hair styles for as long as I can remember but I'm trying to let it grow so I can have glamourous curly hair for over christmas. maybe I need lots of practise and just find the right potion lotion that suits my hair type!
