lovely footwear - help!
Ok, this may not make any sense, I am going to my best at explaining! I have seen some wonderful things and want to know if anyone knows what they are/where to get them... they are things that you wear round your ankles, sort of the size of leg warmers but tight to the skin and generally have a button up front, they remind me of victorian sort of style, I think they are usually white, if anyone has any idea what I may be talking about please help me - I would love some to go with my heeled brogues! xxx

They sound like a type of 'spat' - have you any idea what they are made of?

Put 'Ladies spats' into Google. There is a circa 1900 pair for sale. Are these the sort of thing?

I've just started making these - they are indeed spats - I am making two types - one pair that button up the side which look very Victorian - great for CanCan troupes the other lace up the front like boots - I'm still finalising the designs at the moment but they should be ready for sale in about a month's time on my website.

Is this the sort of thing that you mean?
Spats come in many forms and guises. I would wait and see what Annie comes up with. She is as sad as me when it comes to Grandma's wardrobe.

My instant thought was these trendies that recently came into fashion. I thought they were like a mellowed out Marie Antoinette style hold up.
I'm after something fun and lacy like these for a Marie Antoinette style fan dance i want to try.
Itss totally possible i'm very wrong though. Naaaymind.
Or these sexy mamas <3
Wantwantwant!
Sorry for double postage...

I heart spats, I had a really nice Metro article (I know...) about a couture designer who specialised in making them, they were incredible xx

Yay you clever ladies! Thankyou very much I was indeed thinking of spats, I knew they had a name. Those pink things are utterly bizzarre nut would look fab with a pair of irregular choice shoes I have! Tis the traditional whiteish ones I'm after, wonderful stuff...I'm off to ebay xxx
