I love to 'wet set' my hair with setting lotion and sponge rollers - I even bought a hood hairdrier to assist the process! Oh and if you wind your curls back up and hairpin them they last alot longer too

Thanks for all the advice I will avoid a perm now! I was trying to ask my haridresser about it earlier but he was such a beautiful, beautiful (albeit gay, so pretty pointless for me to be staring!) man that i cant really remember what he said...i do however know i left a bum print in the seat, the shame!!!

I am currently figiting about with wayy too many curlers, i have foam, velcro, velcro made out of aluminium so when you heat them they make curls and no need for hot thing stuck in your head, the hot things stuck in your head and tongs....... its hopeless ill always have straight hair I want victory rolls!

Ok, I've tried everything and have to agree with Moonlight Desire - a wet set is definately the way forward, although I used plastic rollers - I wet my hair, added a little mouse for hold and put my hair in curlers for the day, picked the kids up from school in them and everything!!!!! In the afternoon I took them out, jooshed my hair about a bit and, hey presto, fabulous curls which lasted all night - my hair isn't very long and it looked a little bit between a cross between Marilyn Monroe and Margaret Thatcher but hey, that's the kind of look I wanted - I danced all evening and when I woke up the next day my hair was the same - very impressed!!!
