Well one of the advantages of me hating having my photo taken for years is there isn't a lot of evidence. I had my first perm at 13 and then had them about every 5 months up until I was 17 - how I have any hair left at all still amazes me. When I was 16 ish I had a very bad perm where they didn't put the end papers on right and my hair just frizzled. I had to have loads of it cut off because they burnt the ends so badly and this made the remaining perm go even tighter. I really did look like Crystal Tipps. I then had flat tops during my uni years (how didn't I work I was gay earlier) before for some reason growing it long and having a few more years of perms when I got married - NEVER AGAIN, no money in the world could persuade me to have another perm

takes and deep breath and makes a grab for the vapours....

Found probably the only evidence - as you can tell from the glasses, it was the 80's

Yes actually! PM me x

We are slowly working on a set of guides for all face shapes/hair types etc over at 21CP - if anyone here has a real passion to do one, do let me know and we can add it x

If you can believe it those weren't the largest pair I ever had. My next pair were even more Deirdre - with solid black plastic frames. You couldn't be more 80s if you tried.

Wow Holliwood, it would be great if you could do some vintage hairstyling tips - I loved your make-up guide by a proper make-up artist (was it in issue 2?) that was fab with the drawings. Other than the interviews with Kittie and Dirty Martini, it's been my favourite bit in 21CP
