I love skirts. A lot. I haven't always, but I'm making up for lost time.

So I love summer because I get to wear a different skirt each day (Yep, I nearly have enough skirts to do that all summer!).

BUT I find that my thighs rub together and it hurts I end up with blister-like things on my inner thighs.

Does anyone have any advice on how to solve this?

I could wear leggings but I don't like them
I own some hot pant-like things, but they are not long enough.
Stockings still leave the problem area rubbing.

I'm thinking of buying tights but fishnets make it worse (and I end up with my thighs actually cut ), dark tights are too dark to be summery and flesh ones just aren't sexy.

I'm nprmally ok if I'm just in the local area and can put up with it, but I'm going to London soon so I will be walking asround all day and want to be comfortable.

Any ideas?

I find that something like sudocrem when you go to bed helps build a barrier to the rubbing.

Failing that, try some of the slimming pants that have a little pair of shorts in them.. not only will they make you feel better but you will look great too.

Just stay well moisturised and if you're brave enough got to ASOS.com - The latest women's clothing and designer clothes for women., they have tights impregnated with caffeine to slim your thighs down! I am stocking up for the winter with my big horse-riders thunder thighs.

I should be a personal shopper, really.

I saw a bit on This Morning a few weeks ago where they were testing out a product for this exact purpose! It's basically a bit like a pair of tights crossed with cycling shorts, so you get something the length of the shorts but made out of the fabric of the tights. They stop your thighs rubbing together but don't encase your entire leg. All the women on the show were praising it as an invention that every woman needs at some point!

Can't for the life of me remember what it was called or where you could buy it though - so pretty useless post I'm afraid. Maybe a trawl around department stores?

Ah that is actually helpful Fleur. At least I know what to look for, and I have an old pair of tights upstairs. I might chop the legs off and see if that helps.

What about talcum powder? I use that sometimes as it mops up excess moisture.

There is a T.V ad out at teh moment with a lotion designed for this problem but for the life of me I cant remember its name. I always wear cropped trousers or stripy bloomers under my skirts because they are forever blowing up in the wind.

Haha, yes, I do that now! I had a bit of a Marilyn moment last week and I was incredibly embarrassed.
