God, I haven't been to the beach in years...not on a normal 'beach' day anyway, when it's hot and sunny...can't stand to be out in the heat, because I get headaches, and even if I did want to go, every little bit of beach around here seems to be densely populated by scallies...do they grow out of the sand or something?
I really need to get a pair of summer shoes though. I have some really nice New Look wedges, but I need something a bit more practical for walking round fields/up hills in. Doc Martens really aren't doing it for me when it's 25 degrees.
I've been holding out because every time we get hot weather I think "summer's here" and go and buy shorts and stuff and then it goes Baltic.

I've done very similar one year on a summer hol in Cornwall.....but then my excuse was I'd just had a miscarriage and was very depressed. It's made me want to make the most of every hol I've had since. And I'm off to totally embarrass my daughters with my first ever bikini this year! Woo Hoo! (Please let the weather hold)

what about jelly shoes? They were pretty cool, and great for the beach! I preferred the little elegant pump ones rather than the clumpier t-bar ones though.

I'm just scouring the Dr Scholl Shoes website. I used to have a t-bar pair of jellies - the most comfy shoes I've ever owned and so cool on hot feet....lovely. Not sure either are particularly photogenic though lol
