When one starts a routine fully clothed, is it ever, ever possible to take off a top or dress without buttons elegantly? That is, one you have to pull over your head? I highly doubt it is, but it's a shame, as I have a dress that would be just perfect, save for the fact that you have to take it off that way!
I don't think it is possible, to be honest, for a start it would mess up your hair! I suppose you could try it, get someone else to watch, and see what it looks like, but I can't imagine it looking anything other than 'I'm about to go to bed' undressing >_< I know your dilemma though - I had to change an entire costume idea because the dress I wanted had no fastenings - but it is possible to find other options if you look hard enough!
Are there any seams that are big enough to unpick and add a zip to? There are plenty of talented seamstresses on this forum, who I'm sure would be able to help out... x

I've got a friend at fashion college; I might have to get her to do it... it already has a zip, but one of those funny under-the-arm ones that doesn't actually do anything (very confusing)... I may yet find a better outfit.
Its much easier to sexily unzip and under the arm one (rather than round the back)
Could you take the existing one out, extend the opening and put a lot longer one in? A slow unzipping whilst extending your leg out to the side can be very seductive
(and I totally agree about the way Dirty Martini slips out of her fantastic frocks)
It's got a round collar, you see, so even if I undo the zip, I still have to pull it over my head to get it off! I think it might be easier to find another outfit... a cheesecake sailor girl, and under twenty pounds. Hmmm. Luckily nautical stuff is trendy at the moment!
