Hair dos for VERY curly hair
Hey everyone, this is a question for a friend of mine. She has really really curly hair, very tight ringlets. She was wondering if any of you had suggestions for 20s-40s type hairstyles that suit this kind of hair. At the moment she normally just puts it in a snood which looks really nice, but wants to try something new.
Hehe, and I just had a thought...it is actually for a friend, its not one of those situations like...."See, I've got this friend, and she has this problem, it involves a flashlight......"

Can she blow-dry it or straighten it? I have really curly hair too, naturally and I've found the best thing for me to do is sprinkle setting lotion over it then rough blow-dry it with my fingers into a kind of straight style.
There are a few pictures of my hair-style on my profile and to do that I used three heated rollers, one on each side and one on top of my head and then when they'd cooled, took them out and coaxed the curl back onto itself.
Curly hair is actually easier to do because the hair holds the shape better than straight hair.
Good luck

We already tried straightening and blowing out with millions of kinds of product but her hair just turns into a mass of frizz. She went to a hairdresser to give it a go and even they couldn't tame it. Will have a look at your pics though!

If it can't be tamed, put it back from the temples with lots of kirby-grips, twist it into a kind of quiff at the top and spray with lots of hairspray - the more curls the better for this look as it creates gorgeous cascade of curls down your back.
I wore it like this for my showcase when I graduated from Musical Theatre college and everyone said how lovely it looked, but it's all down to lots of kirby grips!
And I also love your new pic - it's very cool!

Had a go today, but my hairs not long enough to do the nice side ponytail type thing, so trying to think what I could do with the bottom.
