Yep, I second Danskin. They should cover up your tattoo, or at least make it less noticeable, and will also make your legs look tanned and shimmery

Danskin®-Legwear & Tights -Fitness, Dance and Yoga Apparel for Women and Girls

You can also buy them in most dance shops.

Thanks for that everyone - unfortunately, or not, my other sister made the decision for me and told my parents about the tattoo (even after I told her not to! Sisterly love eh?) so I'm gonna just f**k it and and leave it on show!

Wolford are very good quality; yeah, they're a bit on the pricey side at around £20 a pair for most designs, but they're durable and well made; real quallity is always worth a little investment, especially when it comes to the tools of your trade.

Hey, at least it's out there now and you don't have to worry about them finding out - when I was younger my dad would have hit the roof if I told him I was going to have a tattoo or just went ahead and had one - now he's really cool about it and I have swallows on each shoulder to match the one he had on his hand when he was in the army many moons ago and he thinks they're great!!!

My best friend has two tattoos- one on her hip and one pretty big one on her foot. She has had them for two years now and no one in her family knows. Apparantly her mum once saw the one on her foot, but she quickly left the room saying she had drawn it on.

I don't know how she does it though, they show all the time!

Well, I don't think my mum's talking to me since I apologises if it upset up but said "like it or not this is who I am" plus if everyone knows it's there and they can't see it then what's the point of it all!

The whole of my family just hate tattoos or anything different from shopping at Next (I have a thing about the blandness of Next and shops of the same ilk). I'm definately the black sheep of the family so hence I'm really not looking forward to tomorrow. Joy. It'll be *great* day - family war over a wedding.

Oh wow.

I hate Next too! It is so bland- all creams and beige.

My family are fine with anything that heals. Well, one half of my family is. So they are absolutely fine with all my piercings. The other side don't really bother me so it doesn't matter.

Also, I've been buying hold-ups instead of regular stockings - do regular stockings actually stay up on thier own and what are anyone's preferences?

Sorry to be boring but the BEST hold-up stockings I have are from good old M&S. The 40 denier black hold ups are great, excellent quality, very flattering and don't leave a red mark at the top of your thighs. I also wear their fishnet hold-ups which look great but DO leave a red mark and can be quite uncomfortable if you wear them all day.

My latest pair of nude / flesh coloured fishnet tights came from ebay as I didn't have time to go shopping!! Just search for fishnet in new condition and it should bring up loads. Can't remember the ebay shop name at the mo but will add it later if I remember.

I also wear these OVER my dance tights to take off the shine and stop my legs looking like sausages in skins!! Again, can't remember the brand of tights, got them from my local dance shop, but worth paying bit extra for good ones. With proper dance tights you DO seem to get what you pay for.

kisses
