Random musings on the amount of rubbish in my make up drawer.
Not a burlesque thread - more another way of procrastination......
Recently revamped my room which of course lead to a ephipany of the amount of complete crap I own. Am currently searching through my make up drawer and decided to throw away everything that is
1) old enough to know better
2) I can't remember buying (a surprising number of things - including a lip gloss that smells like hubba bubba - must have had a sweet craving at the time)
3) Don't use
4) Have never used
5) Should never use
This joining other stuff that needs to be buried at the bottom of a landfill (How the hell do I have a scrunchie in a drawer ?! )
Does this expansion of crap happen to anyone else? Or do I have hormones that send out a sign for all types of rubbish to come make their home in my home?

Ha! Scrunchies are so 1992.
I too tend to collect bits and pieces and forget I have them. I recently spent a couple of days at my parents's house and was quite over-joyed at the number of goodies I found I'd stashed away in drawers and cupboards at their house. In particular, I'd forgotten about my HiFi separates, which I've had to leave with them while I spend this year or so squished into a teeny tiny flat with a smelly boy (I love him really).

lol my boyfriend was down visiting this weekend and I think it's just beginning to dawn on him just how much stuff I have.
Hopefully by the time I finally get a job up in Wrexham/Chester he'll have invented some tardis like technology to fit my stuff in. Silly man - he thought all my clothes would fit into half a wardrobe and a drawer!

Oh I am exactly the same. I accumulate possessions at an alarming rate. I'm moving house at the end of the month - and my housemates are calling the spare room my "shoe room", I'm sort of planning on it becoming my wardrobe.
I also still have scrunchies in a drawer left over from my primary school days. Why I still have them I really don't know.

I'm also a massive hoarder. I don't like to throw stuff away, as I always think that one day I may need. This is never going to happen as its normally useless stuff that no one wants It's just i can't bear to throw it away.
I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who does this I was starting to think that I was very strange in my keeping habits.

We're on a roll here with clearing out clutter at the moment. Any useful bits and pieces are going on ebay to help fund my costume jewelery addiction (just bought a lovely Butler and Wilson necklace and earring set). Anything too big and/or not worth much is going on freecycle. We have a very small house and two growing kids so space is always at a premium

I have a little room for all my bits of rubbish which I keep, which also doubles up as my sewing room. I think I need to have a huge clear out. I need to be strong. Plus think of all the sparkly things I could get with all that extra cash.
I think I will have to get my boyfriend to help me out, he will tell me if I really don't need stuff.
