That doesn't tend to happen much with eBay items. It's only ever happened to me once and that was with an item from America. But a lot of eBay sellers will mark your item as a gift to get it through customs quicker.

It depends on the boning. Apparently you can get effects almost as good as with steel with some plastic boning, but it has to be good quality plastic and not the cheap stuff you get in most bustiers which just learns to bulge at your belly when you sit down!

I guess I'm just speaking from my own experience, I used to have a couple of bustiers (Vivienne Westwood style tops) when I was younger. They were great for pushing the boobs up but ended up with a nice sticky up bit around the belly. Always reminded me of when Daffy Duck got his beak broken

I've been after a proper corset in the same style since I was about 18 but they're always too expensive.

Sorry to be a downer but from my experince of my wife buying clothing from ebay I suspect that many people are dissapointed - that or the my wife has the word MUG in neon glowing over her. Too many items are not quie what they say.

Hate to be a bummer but there have been a few threads about these types of sellers on some corsetry communities I follow. Basically, as you have guessed and others have said, you will not be getting what's in the picture, but a cheap copy of it.
For that price, it's probably still not a rip off from your perspective, but it is pretty crappy for those people who actually made the corsets in the pictures and are having their images stolen and their designs copied.
Still, it'll be something pretty for you to wear and a lot cheaper than buying one of the same quality from a lingerie store or sex shop.

I bought a corset from a seller on ebay.
Wore it to a obedience school night in the deen and all of the boning pushed out the top and bottom.
It was horrific!
