Default Untangling hair pieces?

Does anyone know if it's possible to untaggle synthetic hair pieces? My ponytail one is incrediably tangled underneath and no matter how I try and brush it (I brush it after wearing it) it's not having it! Miss Vendetta Vain did say there was a conditioner that you could buy and work the knots out but I can't seem to find anything about this! Would ordinary hair conditioner work? I don't want to wreck it as I can't afford to buy another at the mo!
Thanks!

Hi honey
my drag queen mates swear by a bit of hand wash but I think even that is rough and would use normal shampoo. I think there is a special wig conditioning spray that you can get but again I just use my own conditioner.

what I find always works is too get some woolite handwash, fill a basin with warm water mix in some woolite pop your hairpiece in than leave it for 30 mins. Than with a wide tooth comb gently tease the tangles out. After it's de-tangled run some fabric conditioner through it and leave it for another 30 mins. rinse and leave to dry ( I hang mine over my shower head to drip dry.
that should do the trick

hugs

As I said thats what my mates did but only use a really small amount of both as you can dry out the hair and damage it if you use to much. As I did this to one of mine.

Thanks! I used just normal hair conditioner and it worked a treat! I did manage to pull a fair few hairfuls out but it still looks good and now it smells good to boot!

I have some clip in hair extentions and I find that they matt up really bad when I have had them in for an hour or so. Im not too sure what to do with them, I have used all sorts of stuff to make them nice and smooth but they are not having it. What should I do??? Many thanks guys xx
