Pink or Peach suspender belt!
I've been searching for a pale pink vintage 1950's style suspender belt and for the love of me can't find what I'm looking for.
I've been asking the girls at She Said in brighton if they can find one but I haven't heard back yet. Does anyone have any ideas? Ideally I'm looking for a 4 strap. Or does anyone know where to find fabulously decorated ones or have advice on how to decorate a suspender belt themselves?
Would be eternally grateful! xx

Try searching for a shop on eBay called Vintage Opulence. They sell fabulous vintage style girdles in lots of different colours with pretty decoration. They might be a good substitute for what you're looking for.
Or you could look up What Katie Did and look in their Harlow section for peach suspender belts made from satin and mesh (I've fallen in love with that range, but alas don't own anything from it!) or look for their pink mesh suspender belt. They're easy enough to decorate by hand - I did a black one by tying lengths of black ribbon into bows, sewing a bow to the top of each strap and the middle of the waistband, and then putting black rhinestones on the bows to give a bit of sparkle. Very little hand sewing required!

I know, I love the What Katy Did range. I spent an afternoon sighing over the corsets! Fantastic suggestion about the decorating. Have you ever tried dyeing suspender belts or corsets? I've considered it but I wouldn't want to get it wrong and ruin any precious pieces, particularly with the boning.
Thanks for the suggestions!

I dyed a corset from wkd and it turned out really nice. Go for their music hall range for customisations. xx

Have you tried Pandora's Choice?
Vintage retro lingerie,corsets,girdles & underwear
You just have to see this page for the sheer indulgence:
1950s Stockings and Petticoat Adverts - 50's Fashion History
I wanted a similar belt to wear under a circle skirt, what the americans called A Poodle Skirt. Check this site, they despatched my belt without fuss or hassle, it arrived three days later. The belts are all detachable, so you can convert six to four, no problem. It's a great belt, but I have to say, Katie's knocks it into a cocked hat.

I have a WKD Harlow Suspender belt and have to say they look fantastic!!! You will have to go for the knickers and bullet bra though to complete the set - it's their best yet!!!
With regards to decorating, anything really, I would recommend a Khandie Kane - it's a plug-in heated wand used to apply crystals - you can get them on ebay I think, and the crystals. The wand comes with various size heads so you can use different sizes of crystals too!! They're fab, but very addictive!!!

That's just what I had in mind, I'll have a search of ebay.
Thanks for your suggestions ladies! Those websites are just fantastic! I adore the bit on 1950's swimsuits. Sigh....if only I were a bit more attentive in Home Ec. Unfortunately the sowing machine doesn't feature in my list of talents.

Hey huni. It was a music hall corset from what katie did so it was made from hard wearing cotton. Really easy to dye. I just used apack of the dylon dye. The big ones rather than the small disks work better. Happy customising xx
