Queries about a first corset
Hi, I'm completely new to this really! I've known I've wanted a corset for ages, I started off with a couple of basques and I'd love to move on to something proper, as it were. The only thing is is that I'm a complete novice, and would prefer to actually try on a few. I've looked at various websites, but don't have any idea about sizings and things like that, or styles, etc... Is there anywhere people could recommend? I'm based in Manchester but I'm in London in the summer. I'm looking for something to draw me in at the waist, probably overbust too. Price is not too important - I'd want it to last! - but I don't have unlimited money (don't we all...)
Sorry if EVERY single person has asked this, I'd really like to get started!

Hi there!
I'm pretty new to it all too, but have bought a couple of corsets from What Katie Did, which have done me very well so far. They are in the region of £100-120 each. I believe WKD have a store in London also. Have a look on their website fully fashioned stockings, lingerie, girdles, corsets and bullet bras. and see what you think. I'm sure you'll have lots of other suggestions on here for alternatives too

Hey,
I'm still very new to all of this too! I've got one corset so far, and I've been very happy with it, though having trouble finding excuses to wear it! I got it from FairyGothMother, and they have a lot to choose from. They;ve got two shops in London, in Camden and Spitalfields, if you stop by either then they are really helpful!

If you want to try them on I definitely recommend Fairygothmother - the girls are really lovely and they have a massive range of corsets. The way you size corsets is by your waist measurement. Measure the smallest part of your waist in inches and then take off 3 or 4 inches to get the size of corset you need (the numbers are always even). Hope that helps

I'm keen to try them on as I'm fairly largechested but narrow-backed (in the region of 30F-G) and I'm keen to lose a bit of weight before I buy - hopefully get my natural waist down before I buy one! I wouldn't want to buy a corset, which is an investment piece anyway, as I see it, then have it fit incorrectly. And as a complete newbie, I'd just like some advice and support! Thank you very much, I'd seen both What Katie Did and Fairygothmother on the web, they both look lovely. I look forward to actually buying one now!
