I love Stop staring dresses. I have a couple of them and I love them. I have just got a voh satin dress and it is gorgeous. The material is super soft and coz I got the right size this time it fits perfectly. xx

I bought a red satin Vivien of Holloway dress for a masquerade I'm going to, and was rather alarmed at the size I had to buy to get into! That said, the waist was the problem...as I don't have a corset yet, I bought my natural waist size (which I'm trying to get down before I invest in a corset) and the hip size was a full 4 inches bigger than what I needed! Stupid body shape. I've also bought a bolero, but it hasn't arrived yet, and I ordered a large to be on the safe side. I really like the dresses, they're gorgeous, but mine is slightly strange at the top...

Was it a circle dress? Hip measurements are unnecessary when you have a full circle skirt - otherwise I'd have problems, I think ... And I did find that with my VoH dresses the halter strap was very very long, and I had to cut about six inches out of it to adjust it. I don't know whether they use a really odd measurement, or whether my shoulders are just really low ... >_<

I bought a circle dress, but I've also bought one of those pencil skirts with the straps...wondering whether I should held off actually! Ah well. The strap on my circle dress is a little bit too much material, I might fold it over, but I'll be wearing something over the top so it should be alright. Trying to keep from buying too many dresses...I think I'm overbidding on eBay. Ah well. £80 for two dresses? Excessive? ...I'm afraid, yes.
