I went from permanent dyed black hair to blonde. I decided to go to a salon and after two visits my hair was still a bit of a dodgy orange colour. The hairdresser I think took pity on me and gave me some free highlights to try and make my hair look a tad better. I ended up buying some bleach and doing my hair at home again anyway until I got the light colour I wanted but my hair was in a pretty shocking condition after that. I ended up washing my hair in the Body Shop's honey moisturising shampoo which is more of a paste, as any other shampoo just made my hair feel nasty. I would reccommend getting as much of the colour out first as I think that was why mine went orange at first. I don't think you do neccessarily need to go to a salon either as I think you should be able to get your hair to a sufficient colour at home to take the pink dye.

you cant bleach your hair completely white its a toner that gives a white effect a light orange will be fine the colours wont mix as the orange colour isnt dye,its the actual colour of your hair just read all the instructions carefully!I recently had streaks of my dyed black hair bleached to a light copper then dyed them bright pink and purple its very easy just treat your hair kindly afterwards

And for anyone who has 'home dyed' or 'salon dyed' light blonde hair, if you want it white use a purple toner shampoo and lots of conditioner. My tresses won't go any lighter as I'm naturally a brunette, but I do a bi-weekly toner shampoo to keep it from going orange, so some of it is practically white. I do have to deep condition once a week too, and I would recommend that to anyone with processed hair.
I was in the same situation as mentioned above, bleached it out with "Blondissma" and dyed it fushia. The fushia was great, but it required re-dying every few weeks to keep it's colour. Definitely used a lot of conditioner then too.
