This has been confusing me for a while - do you say it like a cornish pastie (one of the posting levels on here says cornish pastie - or do you say it pAystie? I've heard it said that way.

Have always said it like a cornish pastie. Always makes me smile when people wonder why you'd put food in your act.
Anyone know why it's called a pastie? or should I wait till QI get on it?
