Eye make-up
Any tips on how to get really glamorous eyes? My make up always looks really good in the mirror and just seems to disappear in photographs.
Do I just need to practice a bit more with some liquid eyeliner?

Practise practise practise! I used to be terrible with liquid eyeliner, now I'm pretty good (as long as I don't try to do under my eyes or 50s style flicks - they end up uneven!). The trick with getting it to show up in photographs is - use more of it! If you're on a night out that doesn't help much, because you'll look overdone in the flesh, but if you're modelling or doing your make up specifically to pose, just pile it on! The great thing about photography is that even if you feel like a panda and the lines are all wonky, in the shot the effect will look more subtle and evened out.

I find that Barry M smudges a wee bit. I use a really cheap hypo-allergenic pencil from Boots. &loads of glitter!

Thanks for the tips. I've found some lovely Urban Decay shadow and am practicing with the eyeliner. Getting better... slowly

rimmel's exagerate liquid liner is great and easy to use.

I agree from experience (from being behind the camera and not in front!) I would say wear more eye make-up for photographs but as for other make-up be careful with 'light reflecting' foundations or powder as some of them mixed with studio lighting will make your face go dracula white whilst your body is it's normal hue.

Play and practice! Iused to be terrible with my eye makeup, but I just kept practicing and getting better at it, and playing with different angles until I found something that suited me (and, admittedly, closely scrutinising pictures of Dita's eyeliner and copying them), and I actually had someone ask me how I did it the other day so I reckon I'm not so bad now!!
Also: FAKE EYELASHES!! Just don't go too OTT, I find I look like a drag queen if I wear the full sets of really thick ones, but even just a few of the individual ones on the outer corners can really emphasise your eyes.

yeah I think when it comes to photo's or performing more is definatley more!!!!
I go for block colour on my eyelids and use lighter shade in a shimmery tone to blend it up to my brow, also eyeliner is a must have to define your eyes!
If you you are going for bright eyes I would go more natural on the lips to stop you looking like a drag queen!!!!
Hope this helps!

Liquid Eyeliner is very easy to use once you've mastered the technique, I used to be really bad at doing it. Quite often the prob with the photos could be that you've just had a large gap between putting on the make-up and having the photo taken. If you make sure you reapply impressive eye make up just before a photo if you want it to look even more fab!
