performing in high heels
Hi all, just a quick enquiry. When you perform in heels is it preferable to be in strappy sandals rather than mules?I find mules a bit slippy especially if you are in stockings,or do i just need more practice?

I always find something with a strap preferable, mainly because my feet aren't an exact size, so have a tendancy to slip off regardless of whether I'm shimmying across the stage or merely tottering to the bar...*sigh*.
Either that or I get toe-cramp from hanging on to my beautiful but unpractical shoes with all the might I can muster, lol - the things we do for a bit of glamour, eh?

I only wear mules if they're tight, with a killer heel, and thus pose little risk of falling off. I usually wear strappies if the shoes are to be kept on throughout the act, or slip-ons if I plan on taking them off (to remove stockings etc). x

I mainly use a basic dance shoe it does have a strap but you can get some without. If width is a problem you could always try the Shoe Tailor the url is www.shoetailor.com

I love the look of classic courts with at least a 4" heel but just resign myself to the fact that they may fall off. It's a bit of a trade-off for them being much easier to remove.

Beatrix talking a lot of sense there.I find that mules have more chance of staying on if the heels are higher, then your foot is kind of wedged into the shoe.Have to say i am a big fan of the platform style heels, not wanting to appear tacky though!!!
