Right. I've wanted one of these skirts for AGES, I've tried to make my own but failed, so really need to comission someone to make me one but I just don't know who...
It's like a bustle, but I want it mid-length (knee length I guess) and to fall down the back/sides but to not cover the front, I want it to be easily removable too... I probarbly want it in black and pink satin.
Maybe I could just get the fabric, lay it straight, make sure it's the right length/width and sew ribbon across the top so I can tie it around myself, and make the ruched up bustly bits by pinching the fabric and sewing it together!?
Any ideas?

I've tried eBay, googling a pattern/for ideas but have found nothing, it's driving me insane!

A very wise woman once told me how to make proper ruffles.
Something I was never taught at fashion college and it annoys me to this very day.

Imagine you have a piece of material which has been cut into a circle, then a smaller circle has been cut out of the middle, so now this piece of material should resemble a polo mint or a ring doughnut.

Then make one cut one side of the polo mint/ring doughnut so it looks like the letter 'C' , then fan it out, when you hold the inner/smaller circled edge the outer/larger circled edge should ruffle up.
Sew smaller edge to whatever you want to ruffle up...then repeat.
