Emergency back up costume ideas wanted
Hi everyone,
I've just accepted an invite to perform at an event where I can't wear anything as revealing as pasties and a gstring to do my fan dance . However, now I need to pull together an alternative costume in a couple of days (the performance is on Weds). Can anyone help with ideas?
Bras and pants are fine, but I'm a 28FF so not that easy to find. I don't really just want to dance in something that's obviously from the high street, and I'm not particularly handy with a needle! My fans are pale baby blue. Does anyone have any ideas for items that might match and not cost the earth? I invested in my original costume (from adorabelle) so I don't want to spend lots on another costume to match my fans! Aagh!
Thanks!WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

Could you not adapt a high street bra and pants by embelishing with beads, sequins, crystals, lace, feathers etc that you can buy from haberdashery places? You don't need to be that handy with a needle you could just glue them on. Could you maybe make a bustle type thing to wear over the top of your existing G string? Or get some boy shorts type knickers and put frills on the back?
Hope this is of some help to you.
Good luck

Have a look in New Look for some pretty underwear that you can easily customise with frills or lace.
For my fan dance I have sewn feathers all along the back of the knickers to cover my bum (it's my profile picture on my MySpace) and it looks really pretty on stage

Also try Primark underwear, I'm usually a 34F but find I can get away with some of their DD size things. You can then customise to your hearts content.
Gawd bless Primark - they saved me this week

My immediate thoughts are that you might struggle to find something unique at short notice - especially if there's no time to order something online from overseas.
I'm afraid to say it, but you may have to face your fear of a needle and thread and get customising!! x
