    Default Hair curlers/rollers?

    Hi!

I was just wondering what everyone uses to curl their hair? I have quite long fine hair and i find curls tend to drop out very easily. Ive been thinking of buying some heated rollers...but im not sure if id be better off just getting some decent tongs!!

    Thanks

I've just asked my mum for some heated rollers for my birthday as currently I use tongs. They work fine but you just get a different look with heated rollers. Can anyone recommend a specific brand?

I use babyliss heated rollers and find they're much more effective for getting a vintage look than tongs, they cost about £30 on Amazon! xxx

I have exactly the same problem and I find the same happens with heated rollers - it looks great for the first half hour then it all drops out - Yesterday, I had a perm (scary) At the moment I look a little bit like Cleo Laine and have been told not to do anything with it for a few days but I'm hoping that I will be able to use my heated rollers and it will hold!!! I will let you know how I get on....

    I have tried and dislike:

    - bendy rollers
    - heated rollers
    - foam rollers
    - rag rolls
    - pin curls (I can't make them neat and don't have the patience for them!)

I now use either tongs (with lots of product) for neat curls, or large velcro rollers for that crazy-volume 1980s look!

Just to let you know, I put heated rollers in this morning and it looked ok - a few hours on my hair looks frizzy again - DON'T GO FOR A PERM!!!!!

I use a set of heated rollers from remmington. They look like little silicon wine goblets but work brilliantly for me.

I also use Remington hot rollers. I bought 2 sets and use the small and medium rollers for a nice tight curl. However, I do prep my hair with styling lotion, spray or mousse before putting in the rollers. I also use a curling iron; after I release the curls from the barrel, I roll the curl back up, pin it and let cool.

    Miss Annie, I deeply sympathize!
I had a perm two and a half years ago and ended up looking like Crystal Tips, from 'Crystal Tips and Alastair'! it's taken this long to grow it out and be re-united with my shiny, smooth locks! Having said that, it did used to look nice pinned up and as long as you keep deep conditioning it, you might end up more curlicious than frizzy.
    Good luck!
