Corsets
I have recently started up my website selling Corsets and wanted to do a little more research to help me with my designs, ideas and market and was wondering if you didn't mind helping me out!
I make Corsets to last and be a treasured investment, with beautiful fabrics, adornments, appliqué and attention to detail. I design and make them all myself, fully bone them (they are quite heavy!) and make sure they are all beautifully lined inside. In some cases, the inside is more beautiful to look at!
I offer made to measure as well. I have found, particularly with myself, that I have a short upper body, so most shop bought underbust corsets look huge on me! So I can either shorten or lengthen the corsets to be in proportion with the rest of your body.
I see the corsets I create as timeless works of art, rather than just throwaway garments and imagine little girls finding them in their grandmothers' treasure chest along with many wonderful memories, many years down the line. (well, I do love dreaming!)
I can make custom, one-off corsets, for example using specific fabrics, laces or colours. I have hundreds of shade cards and fabric cards and can post samples if a colour match is required or certain fabric texture, so don't hesitate to email me if you were interested in something a bit more special!
My question is this; do you prefer to spend a smaller amount on something made with less quality, design and wear, or are you happy to invest more for a Corset, which has been hand made to a high quality, and in some cases, a one-off?
In the meantime, feel free to look at my website.
