Fixing body powder
Hi, can anyone suggest any way of fixing body powder so that it doesn't rub off on your clothes etc?
I've never really used make up on my body before but for performing I was planning on powdering myself from head to toe, partly to try and get a lovely color and sheen but also to cover up any rogue pimples red bits etc, then it occurred to me with all the sweating etc it was bound to rub off on the clothes.
Is there a specific type of powder/foundation people use that doesn't rub off?
Or are their any tricks to sealing it?
I thought maybe hairspray might do the trick as this works with pastels and charcoal but as my friend pionted out this would probably reek havok with my skin and I'll probably end up a sticky, nasty mess, any suggestions anyone? xxxWARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

Hi honey
use derma colour they have a whole range of make up, powder and fixative spray. I would recommend the spray as on its own the powder will come off. You can get a little palette of colours for about 8 quid to find the right bled I use 1 as I am so pale. It really works I use it all the time. I get mine from Home
Good luck

I use dermablend as I have scaring on my back, chest and arms that flares up every now n then. Once covered I used a shimmering powder (xmas time is a good time to stock up) but check ebay. I also mositurise before a show with the fine powder mixed in with it.

You'd be better off using something like MAC's face & body foundation, then setting that with translucent powder. The foundation itself is waterproof, so once set doesn't move much.

If you check out theatrical makeup lines, most of them carry fixative spray for makeup... think Ben Nye or Kryolan. Ebay is a great place to get the stuff if you don't have a shop in your area that carries theatrical supplies.
