Pastie applictaion and fuds
Hello all,
I am putting together a splosh act and am concerned that my pasties won't stay on if I use my usual tape.
Anyone else here have wet/messy acts? And if so, how do you keep your pasties on?
I am London based and need to get the adhesive asap.
Thank you,
Honey Bare.

Hi there!
The best thing to do is experiment...probably in the bath or shower though!
Generally the more expensive tape hold up well, though if you soak it in water or another water based liquid they can just slide off (I've seen this happen!) If your using something thicker like custard or cream it'll probably be fine.

I use Champagne in my routine and I have found both spirit gum (from angels) and double sided "selo-tape" (from rymans) work best. HOWEVER I now have star shaped nipples due to the spirit gum burning holes in my skin. I now stick to tape, though I have started reacting to this too!
I have never had a pastie fall offhttp://www.missbanburycross.com - "Banbury Cross seems pretty untouchable in the world of burlesque at the moment! Looks like Marilyn Monroe, body from outer space!”

yeah spirit gum or eh liquid latex will work a treat because they are not water based. maybe do a patch test first too - just in case!

To Banbury Cross : Ouch! I can't believe that the spirit gum has burned your skin, it sounds painful.
I have found some adhesive gum on the screenface website which may work.
Will have to see how it goes on the practice runs!
Thanks for the advice!

I've heard other people recommend Copydex, too and would be interested to try it. I,myself, am doing a splosh act, soon and will be experimenting.
Let us know how you get on with the suggestions!

Vendetta: I remember that post and even then I was thinking of splosh ideas, it's only now that I have gotten round to doing it.
Delilah : I am thinking of trying copydex, so I will keep you posted, my perfromance is not until 20th March though.

Aaaaaarghh! What brand did you use?! I've used spirit gum on my face for special effects makeup before and was lucky not to get burned, but now I'm scared!
