Thread: Mae West dress and hat

Hi,
Could anyone help please.I want to do a Mae West look a like and Im struggling to find nice costume.
I am looking for plus size,costume and large hat like Mae West.
The ones I have seen on fancy dress sites look dreadful.
Any ideas please?

What a fabulous lady to portray - you may be better off getting something custom made, it works out alot better in the long run

Try Lady Lucie Latex Rubber Fetish Fashion Clothing Corsets & Costume
She does custom work and does amazing corsetry to and works better for bigger sizes to.
I do a Mae West tribute but stick to fancy underwear rather than dress but fantastic idea!

its worth trawling through dressmaking patterns to see if there were anything suitable and getting your local seamstress/dressmaker to give it a go with any added customisation you need doing...good luck. sounds fab. xxx

Parma Violet has taken the words out of my mouth Dirty Martini is very well none for doing Mae West. I have seen her do it in new York and London.
