Don't know how to do 'show' eyebrows - all I can add is that I spend £8 every 6 weeks to get my eyebrows done by my friendly local salon, using wax and tweezers ( I'm fair, and don't have very bushy eyebrows, but they are quite untidy, especially under the brow line) and I always come home feeling and looking years younger. It's money really well spent.
I'm too much of a wuss to pluck them myself; if I'm going out and want a more defined look I do shade them in with a pencil, and even do that whole angle-from-the-nose thing ,but the girls in the salon do the hard work ( and it doesn't hurt!) - tidy everything up, so if I want to I can emphasise, but I very rarely bother - in my world, if life is too short to stuff a mushroom it's certainly too short to start buying eyebrow wax! Admittedly I rarely wear make-up in the day-time, but I find that having tidy brows does lift my whole face, and I certainly notice the difference if I haven't had them done for a while.

I have an absolute nightmare getting my eyebrows to behave. I pluck them myself as I can't afford to go to a salon every few weeks and I can never get them to look the same.

I can't afford to get my eyebrows done, I last had them waxed about ten years ago for a school dance . What I usually do is use a stencil set which I bought online from an ebay beauty supplies wholesaler. I stick the stencil down, colour it in really darkly with pencil then remove and pluck away everything outside the coloured area. Then wash the pencil off!
Daily I just colour in my eyebrow shape with a dark brown eyebrow pencil, if I want more of an arch or extended tail I can usually modify this. Any stray hairs get plucked away as and when required.

Wooo loving all the eyebrow advice!
Does anyone have any idea what colour would be best to use for pale skin and blonde hair?

I use Benefits 'Brow Zing'. I havent touched a brow pencil since!
Its got a coloured wax and powder in the set, you can apply either indivdually or together depending on the look you want.I find it defined the brows really nicely without looking too severe. x

i spent years without eyebrows. For some odd reason I liked shaving them off and drawing them back really thin in black or red or electric blue.
Lately I have a thing for glittered eyebrows. One day I may just dunk my entire face in a tub of glitter before going out and satify my sparkly cravings.

In my young gothier days I used to shave my eyebrows off completely and draw them back in in funny colours to match my hair. Now they hardly grow back, only front bit and I have to draw the rest in, which is pretty good as I can do my quick every day eyebrow, or dramatic full angled ones hehe
Eyebrow templates are good if you don't have a steady hand ro pluck or draw, I bought a really good kit from Shu Uemura which has some brilliant templates, and different coloured pencils (blonde, brown, black and redhead) and kind of creme powders and angled brushes.Dangerous Curves Ahead!.....Kitty Van Ghoul, The Countess Rackula =^,,^=

Hey, I'm a trained beauty therapist and spend a lot of time waxing eyebrows, but i would recommend Threading all the way for perfect arches - it hurts but it lasts longer than waxing and gives a really defined shape which you can then as mentioned above fill in with pencil to get real colour definition.
There are loads of threaders about and really you shouldnt pay more than £7.50 for it.
Hope that helps xx
