If I'm going for a particularly dapper look it will be dinner jacket or tails, bow tie and most definately a top hat.
At my most casual (but attending a burpesque event) it's still usually shirt, suit and waitscoat. Necktie, bow tie or cravat optional. Actual casual for me is combats and a heavy metal t-shirt, but I enjoy getting dressed to impress!
I'm comfortable with what I wear. If I wasn't I would wear something else instead! I think it's important to be comfortable when you're meant to be enjoying yourself but a burlesque event is the perfect excuse for a gentleman to experiment, to dabble in dapperness!
And they can always blame it on the missus! They might fool themselves, but we'll know they're loving it!
