Thank you so much for the heads up ladies as i thought there wasn't going to be an online sale

I bought the satin Gold dress,
Green satin with lace overlay,
Red satin,
and
the 40s Strawberry blush dress
Well in fact i bought 2 of the red satin dresses as i am going to give my friend one as a surprise birthday present so i hope she is not reading this lol!
I already have one but you can never have enough red satin in my opinion and it is my fave colour and at £35 what a bargain

My mum has taken mine in for me as I'm also rather petite. The way she did it was to fold the strap in half lengthways and stitch it together (it looks too wide when you make it really short) and then did some fancy origami like folding job (she's Japanese - folding comes naturally) in the middle of the strap and then sewed that up to shorten it. You could probably just cut it instead and then sow it together making a seam in the middle. Wouldn't look too bad. I have long hair and that covers it up. Could try and take a photo to show you what I mean - but currently it's at my boyfriends flat. Will be able to get a photo the weekend after next.
Hope that makes sense. Pics will probably help more.

... or alternatively, the stitches at the bust (not the ones under the armpit itself) are easy to undo. You could undo the stitches both sides, and fold over into a kind of pleat going down towards the other stitches under the arm. Does that make sense? I understand it in my head, but not sure if it translates well into written words!
I have the opposite problem, I find the halter neck could do with being a wee bit longer and it really annoys me at times at the back of my neck. I unpicked the "bosom" stitches, thinking that would help (hence I know they ar easy to unpick!) which it does ... but now it doesn't sit quite right on the bust so I'm going to have to put a few stiches back in.

Woooo, online sale!! f**k yeah!! (sorry, too excited about this!)
I've had my eye on the black pencil dress with red polka dots for a while, so I've just gone and got it. Think it might be a size too small though... Hoping I can cinch everything in under it and it won't be a problem...

::cries:: i refreshed the VOH site everyday except today, missed the twitter and facebook announcements cos I was training and looked to see the trousers i have wanted for so long were yup in the sale and oh yes only left in a size 20. Am gutted and just giving up on them now

Obviously not meant to be.
To be honest, they probably wouldnt have fit me anyway; I'm shortwaisted so even the dresses dig in at the hips on me... they look so pretty on everyone else though
