I am fairly new, well very new to all this. Just browsing some 1940's sites and got me thinking.

Does anybody wear any military uniforms for their shows/routines?

I have my Army Number Two's (With a medal actually awarded to me, none of this prop business for me thank you very much, I like to go to war for that authentic look) and a US Sailor outfit.

Many performers have military-inspired acts, it is a very popular theme within burlesque and cabaret/variety.

I don't perform, but I do own my original pea coat and dress blues from my ol' Navy days. Plus some old army coats which are great in the winter, but stowed away safely in a storage unit in Las Vegas. Nothing better than a man or woman in uniform I say!
