Totally understand where you're coming from Crikey Aphrodite. There's no comparison at all between a real corset and the cheap tops bought in from China, with flimsy fabrics, plastic boning and hardly any shaping at all. It's difficult to explain without someone actually picking these things up and trying them on.
Certainly when it comes to people buying things online it's very, very difficult to let them see what the difference is just from a photograph. The real difference is immediately apparent even just by picking the items up. It is sad to think there are so many opting to buy the cheap stuff for £20 and then thinking 'corsets aren't that great' after it falls apart and the plastic boning bends out of shape... 'so glad I didn't spend £200 on one'. There really is no comparison, so yes it's misleading to call these tops corsets because it probably does have an adverse effect on those making the real thing.

Hi Girls,
Can I just stand up for myself a little here? I had a couple of images that I was made aware were copy images and I thankyou for letting me know. However, my online shop mainly sells the Burleska range of corsets which are NOT corsets made out of flimsy cheap fabric, they are extremely well constructed at affordable prices. My accessories (from reputable UK suppliers) are also my biggest sellers along with the mini top hats (made by myself) Unfortunately due to the few copyright images that were noticed I feel my shop has now been tarred with cheap china corsets when in actual fact I am not selling these corsets.
Please give me a break girls?
xx

As I said, it seems to be the suppliers that are the issue. And it's a recurring issue which yourself and the other lady seem to have got caught up in. All I'm saying is that when the suppliers send these photographs for use then do a quick google and make sure they're all present and correct. It's easy enough to spot, especially as many of the companies who own the original images use the same models regularly. As you've seen here, people do recognise them and then it reflects badly on you. That isn't an attempt to taint your company, quite the opposite. It's advice to benefit you.
