Although I am ridiculously excited about everything that is going on and am lucky enough to have plenty of gigs at this years Fringe I must say I am feeling rather melancholy about not doing the full run.

I practically live for the Fringe but due to the financial constraints of doing a show Rhymes with Purple Productions only take a show every other year, 2008 being our year off. Which is fine and totally the sensible thing to do but there is nothing quite like being in the thick of it; 6 or so of you crammed into a 2 bedroom flat, the Fringe opening party (all the other parties!), the rather sickening thirll of scanning all the press every day to see you if you've received that coveted "good review", celebrity spotting at the Pleasance Courtyard, living off coffee and booze and of course, seeing some wonderful (and some pretty non-wonderful) shows!

When we don't do it I always feel a sense of isolation or like I'm missing out, even though I can hop in the car and be there in an hour, it's weird.

Ah well, this year is still going to be amazing and Rufus and I are already planning what we are going to take to the 2009 Fringe. Moan over!
