Mmmmm, Inverness you say! Where my best friend lives... I'm really going to have to hope my July paycheck is a good 'un!!

I also may have to invest in a diary...

You're not going to London, by the way Leyla. I forbid you. I will tie you up at the Sketchy party and won't let you go. Sorry. I let Missy get away, but I won't make the same mistake twice!

Carrie, make sure to give me your camera (set to "video") for this ... Then I can upload it to Veoh and get you banned from there too!!!

My diary for August is looking like...

Sunday 3rd: Bongo Club Cabaret, Edinburgh
Monday 4th: Spangled Cabaret, Rio Cafe, Glasgow

Friday 8th & Saturday 9th: Belladrum, near Inversneck
Sunday 10th: Dr Sketchy's 1st Birthday, Glasgow

Saturday 16th: "Musicals" night, Britannia Panopticon Music Hall, Glasgow

Tuesday 19th: Bongo Club Cabaret Edinburgh

Sunday 31st: Candy Box (stage managing & freeloading spicy chicken as always)

Lucille - you're on the same Bongo nights as me! Can I cadge a lift off you again? (or chum you on the bus if you're not driving?)

X

I'm not sure that's enough to get me banned - there's some dodgy stuff on Veoh (not that I've looked of course... *shifts eyes*)

This sounds good!!

I'm glad you lot are doing a later Bongo night - I think I'll go to that one, so I don't suffer from a nervous breakdown trying to squeeze everything into the first week in August! I'm not used to having a social life!

Well technically it will be Rufus that you will be cadging a lift from as I don't drive, I prefer to be chauffeured around! But of course!

Leyla - - you are going to be sorely missed. I will make sure you get a bloody good send off on the 10th. The Dr Sketchy Party is now officially also Leyla Rose's going away soirette!

We are also gearing up to attend Candybox but have yet to get off our bahookie's and get tickets - hopefully there will be some left!

Let's make sure we do get that drink organised in between all this madness.

Awww Lucille! That's so lovely.
I can't believe I'm leaving, I have loved living here.
I'm glad that the Dr. Sketchy Party is happening when it is because it means I'll get to see everyone before I go. Most of the performers in that room will have been present when I started burlesquing and some have been pivotal at significant moments in my burlesque adventures. I can think of no better way to say goodbye to Scotland.

I dare say I'll be back before long. If not to settle then at least to perform.

And Carrie - not content with being the female Larry Flynt now looks set to become the female Irving Klaw as well. I'll see you loads in Birmingham. I won't miss a Candy Box. Whether or not I perform. And there's always Burlescapades! to consider. God bless Lily White.

I love Scotland too much to be away for too long.

I LOVE all this promotion without my having to have done it. Brilliant!
Thanks guys!
Yes, the Bongo Club is shaping up to be a fantastic line-up. I'm still slap bang in the middle of programming the thing though.
We have a series of guest comperes this year too which is exciting!
Des O'Connor from the 3-5th August
Kitten on the Keys- 6th August
Chris Cresswell (of Voodoo Vaudeville) 7-14th August
Kitten on the Keys 17th August
and
Dusty Limits 18-24th August.
Rock on!
As well as programming an ever changing line-up (there is a different show every single night, so theoretically you could come every night, thus fulfilling your Cabaret needs for a loooong time to come..!) There are many other special guests performing with us- do come on down!
I'm performing too this year (may as well!) on the 4th and 17th at the Bongo Club Cabaret, the 8th and 9th at Belladrum Festival, the 10th at Dr. Sketchy's through in Glasgow and probably a few other times during the Festival at some as yet unfinalised locations.....
Tickets for the Bongo Club Cabaret are selling really well so far btw so get in there!
