Hello,
Is there anywhere i can get additional info? My other half wants to tag along but if it's predominantly a fashion show he may not cope! xx

It's a men's fashion show, so he gets to look at boy stuff and we all get to have a nosy at cute model boys...
But the show won't last too long. Vicky, Rox and I will all be walking the catwalk with the boys and then doing our shows afterwards. We're thinking of putting on a regular night but I don't really know Birmingham or what the demand for burlesque is like there? Want lots of burlesque peeps down so I can pick your brains! Rox and I tend to work mainly within London and Vicky goes down well anywhere so it would be nice to expand our horizons! x

There are a few burlesque monthly nights in Birmingham, so there is definitely a scene. The CandyBox always sells out - I believe there's capacity for approx 400 in the venue they use. The Cherry Pop Peep Show was full to capacity at their last event (think it's around the 200 people mark) and there is the Silk Stocking Striptease Show which predominantly showcases new acts/performers. There is also Red Rocks that seems to book redheaded performers.
Candy Box and Cherry Pop book well-known acts - from the UK and the States.
Hope this helps.

Ohh I'd love to pop across, but I'll be dutifully applauding some off key-singing and wonky dancing from our year 6 school play.
Blimey Cece - you really are a dedicated follower of burlesque, British Rail must love you - very impressed at all the places you get to at the drop of a hat pin.
And the West Midlands has a growing following of burlesque with the four, soon to be five with the Stoke on Trent Burlesque in October, venues - and other venues near enough to Brum in the rest of the Midlands (before Fleur du Mal shouts at me for just talking about the West Mids) - so we'd love to see you up again in the future.
